STK 2419 2001 Chevrolet Camaro SS Earnhardt Edition

When Dale Earnhardt Sr. decided to create a modern-day Camaro based on early muscle cars, it was only natural that he dubbed it the 'SS Intimidator'. Factory 2001 SS Camaros were shipped to GMMG Enterprises in Marietta, GA for modification to Dale's specifications. They were then returned to Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in Newton, NC for exclusive distribution. GMMG was to have built 100 SS Intimidators, all to have been signed by Dale Sr. Unfortunately, Dale passed away during the production cycle and the program ceased after 83 VIN numbers. This beautiful, all-original SS Intimidator is #30. Some mechanical upgrades included in the Intimidator package were: High Performance LS1 350, progressive rate front/rear 1.5” lowered springs, 17” American Racing 200S alloy wheels and ABS disc brakes w/dimpled front & rear rotors. This aluminum GEN3 LS1 was equipped with an LS-6 intake, modified mass air-flow sensor, high-flow air box, performance cam, flat-top pistons and chambered exhaust. A six-speed manual transmission (fitted with an Earnhardt 'short-throw' shifter) transfers power to a posi-traction differential with 3.73:1 gearing. Each SS Camaro came with every conceivable comfort option including: leather A/C, tinted power windows, power driver's seat, gauge package, cruise, tilt-wheel, theft deterrent system, keyless entry and 500 watt Monsoon 8-speaker AM/FM/CD sound system. The SS Intimidator package added: '381' Hood Stinger, exterior accents, retro 'SS' badging, Intimidator floor mats and console plaque.
