What we have here is a one mean-looking Mustang. In 1969, Ford restyled the best-selling 1st-Gen Mustang to look beefier and more athletic. Also new for 1969 was the 'Mach-1" performance package, adding a plethora of powerplant options and new styling features. The Mach-1 was only available in the "SportsRoof" bodystyle, which was Ford's name for the fastback. This mean Ford comes equipped with a 351 C.I. "Cleveland" V8 mated to a 4-barrel carburetor. Power is then sent to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. This aggressive car sports visuals that were little changed from 1969 to 1970. However, for 1970 the body included dual-beam headlights with the previous inner headlights becoming sport lamps and recessed taillights on a black honeycomb rear panel, side scoops behind both doors removed, revised bucket seats, deep dish sports wheel covers, as well as new side and rear badging and striping. In addition, this sweet '70 is fitted with a tilt steering wheel, a functional tachometer, a vintage-styled updated AM/FM/Aux radio unit, adjustable seats, power steering, power brakes, a hood scoop, and a dual-exhaust system. The car rides on a nice set of BF Goodrich Radial RWL tires paired with original steel wheels. This intimidating Mustang commands attention and is sure to turn heads in its bright red paint with black "Mach-1" decals. Now, it is just waiting for the right person to take it back around the block.
