Classic '72 El Camino Deluxe, 350, Auto, PS, PB, Factory A/C, Protect-O-Plate
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 23rd year in the classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's El Camino was a coupe utility vehicle that was introduced in 1959 to compete with Ford's similar Ranchero. Ford of Australia was the first company to offer a coupe utility in 1934, the result of a letter from a farmer's wife that requested "a vehicle to go to church in on Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Monday". Together with the Ranchero, the El Camino proved that there was an American market for a sedan-based utility vehicle that could perform most of the duties of a light truck. The advantages were many, including a much larger list of available options and a very comfortable ride from a sedan-based suspension. Our sharp 1972 El Camino Deluxe (13680) is a nice specimen of a coupe utility that readily demonstrates those virtues. Lift the striped hood and you'll find a healthy example of Chevy's venerable 350 V8 that's sporting an Edelbrock carburetor and HEI. Additional features include power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, automatic transmission, 12-bolt rear end with 2.73 gears (KD), a Kenwood stereo, auxiliary gauges, and RWL Cooper tires (215/70R15 F, 225/70R15 R) on American Racing wheels. Documentation includes original owner's manual and Protect-O-Plate, which confirms that the PS, PFDB, and A/C were factory installed. It also shows that 8/11/22 will be exactly 50 years since this gem went home with Mr. Greer. This classic runs and drives beautifully, with a plush ride and relaxed gait provided by the 2.73 gears. More fun from the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
