The 3rd generation Camaro offered bulletproof reliability, satisfying power and aggressive good looks. The IROC-Z was a performance option that could only be ordered on the Z28 Camaro and it boasted a brand new version of the 305 cubic inch V8. Our 1986 Z28 Camaro shows that IROC option code (B4Z) on the Service Parts ID Label (inside center console lid). The exterior has been fully restored with a 2-stage professional respray of the original Bright Red Metallic (code 81U) finish. Matte black accents, air dams and fog lights have the Camaro looking virtually the same as delivered in '86. An original grey cloth interior is in very good condition and features A/C, smoked t-tops (w/bags), full console, power tinted-windows, power locks, tilt wheel, power trunk and factory AM/FM/Cassette stereo system. Horsepower is furnished by what is said to be a matching numbers 5.0-liter V8 (option code LB9). It is fitted with GM's Tuned Port Injection and delivers 190bhp and 285lb/ft of torque. The small block is backed by a 4-speed TH700-R4 automatic transmission and stock differential. Standard gearing for an IROC automatic was 2.73:1. The Z28 chassis is fitted with power steering, power disc/drum brakes and the FE2 suspension package that includes front/rear sway bars and HD springs. Optional five-spoke 16”x7” aluminum wheels mount nearly new 245/50ZR-16 Michelin performance radials. There are receipts with the car showing repairs and maintenance.
