Mustang GT/CS

Description

Attention!!! Powerful car now in front of your eyes with this '11 Ford Mustang GT/CS. This beauty pumps out over 650 horses and has a supercharger by Kenne Bell. Hold tight as it accelerates like a Space-X rocket launching, and as you go through the 6-speed it just gets better and better. A wild pony for sure, tamed only by its comfortable leather interior, Shaker sound system, a handheld tuner, and Ford Racing lowered suspension. You have been warned, and after reading this description, it will self-destruct within 10 seconds….wait for it…wait….! OH read first!

Exterior
For this flexing muscle Ford went all out for the design. Reminiscent of the early models it just looks beefier, and more refined on the line aspect. The front of the car is more “aero” designed, and has an integrated body matching bumper, blackened grille, and a race inspired front splitter. Race Red covers the steel panels are very nice with well minded gaps, the front quarters have an “air vent”, and the door keeps the hockey stick cove Mustang is well known for. A fading GT/CS side decal is on just behind the front wheel well and makes the car appear moving when still. A race inspired power bulge hood with scoop is up front and on the short decklid is a racy pedestal mounted spoiler while just below is the signature faux GT/CS gas cap. The duo of trio taillights harkens back to the first model, and are now larger and flattened, but still reminiscent of past generations. Dual exhaust peeks out of the lower bumper and black snowflake 19-inch MMD wheels are wrapped by nice rubber all around. These blackened wheels are a beautiful contrast to the Race Red that bathes this car all over.

Interior
Nice simple door panels utilize molded plastic vented vinyl and a tasteful touch of thin trimming along with power window toggles, power lock switches and some woofers and tweeters. Inside we can see the purple glow from the dash on the beautiful high-backed leather buckets with even higher headrests. You will need it as when you smash the accelerator it will snap your head back and press you firmly into these power seats. In back are 2 plus 2 buckets/bench and these are also very nice. A center console runs through the buckets and houses a short handled shifter. As it rises to the dash center, we note the dials and buttons for the climate control and heated seats as well as the Shaker AM/FM/CD changer. Above is a black padded vinyl topped dash and faux carbon fiber dash front, are 2 large round deep set gauges, (again reminiscent of days of yore), with a central huge cluster, all analog save for the digital odometer readouts. Boost and water temperature gauges by Autometer grace the driver's A-pillar helping to keep the driver aware of the engine vitals. Black carpet is below and a felt fuzzy headliner is tight and clean above.

Drivetrain
Our consigner went all in for the mill which is in the configuration of a 5.0 Liter Coyote V8 professionally rebuilt by JLP Performance with less than 2,000 miles on the build. It has a KenneBell Mammoth 2.8L Supercharger, a sleeved block, Boss valve springs, Ford SVT 95# injectors, Manley I-beam rods, an ATI Super Damper serpentine system and JLP custom ground cams in it. It is fed by EFI and runs with Hi-Test gas and has a boost a pump auxiliary fuel pump added. On the back is a MT-82 6-speed manual transmission with a McLeod twin disc clutch which throws power rearward to a Ford TracLoc 8.8-inch 3.73 gear rear axle. This package is good for a consignor-stated dyno proven 650hp and is good for 1200hp if you want to turn the wick up.

Undercarriage
All strong and sturdy unibody and rockers with plenty of ground effects panels coverings to produce a free air flow undercarriage. Power disc brakes are on the front and rear. The suspension includes independent coil springs up front, and a 3 link with coil springs and a panhard bar in the back. The suspension has been lowered with help from the Ford Racing catalog and BBK headers send spent fossils through high-flow cats and out the back via GT500 mufflers.

Drive-Ability
Our muscle car crack decoder took this baby out to the track and he had an absolute ball. I did not think he was going to return, but alas he did and reported with a grin it performed great and is all buttoned up on the drive-ability front. All working, and all fast.

Our consignor, who treated this car like a favorite toy, brought it out, played with it, then carefully put it away till next time. Lots of receipts, plenty of racing upgrades, and a very clean example. Great sound from the mill, and the stereo, and good comfort inside in that black leather. The drivetrain reads like a who's who of racing embellishments, and it's all looking great in Race Red with black accenting. A photo op if there ever was one.
