This 1978 Trans AM SE was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant and sold new at Nelson Motors in Crookston, MN. There were only 2,856 Y82 Automatic Trans AM's built in 1978. That is a very low number and that makes this Trans AM very collectible and a car seriously worthy of a full restoration. This TA runs and drives, so you can have a little fun while you are working on it. There are areas that will require rust repair. Be sure and look at the Hi-Resolution photos to get an idea of what will be required. It will need floor work and rear quarter work for sure. It still has its original numbers matching Pontiac 400ci - V8. It is loaded with options and those details contribute to why this is such a good car to restore.
