World's Finest 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 426 HEMI 4 Speed
This 100% matching-numbers 1970 Charger R/T Hemi is one of only 56 Hemi Chargers built that year, sports a 1-of-1 color combination, a full fender tag full of options, and has received a rating of 1.1 from Galen Govier, meaning it's the absolute best of the best. With full documentation, a known ownership history from new, and a restoration that was conducted to the very highest standards, this is THE Hemi to own if you're serious about your Mopar muscle.
The car is A LOT nicer than it was originally, with near-perfect panel alignment, deep, glossy Top Banana paint rendered in two-stage urethane that shines like the surface of the sun. The graphics were expertly reproduced, including the ultra-rare hood graphics with HEMI callout, as installed by the factory. Details like the flip-up gas cap, R/T emblems on the faux vents on the front doors, and optional racing mirrors are all in impressive condition considering that most of it is original equipment.
The engine was carefully disassembled, checked, adjusted, and rebuilt with vast care, most of the vitals are original. Then the elephant was dressed for show, with Hemi Orange paint, crinkle finish valve covers, and all the little things that Mopar guys expect in top-flight show cars. With all the original factory markings and equipment still intact, reproducing them accurately was easy, and every detail you see under the hood is as it was in 1970, and all the components are factory-issue.
The original 4-speed manual transmission is there, of course, feeding a Dana 60 with 3.54 gears, making this Hemi an easy cruiser. Rallye wheels have been reinstalled and fitted with Goodyear Polyglas GT tires.
Black buckets were the best choice with the Top Banana paint job, but also notice things like the power driver's seat, power windows, and a stereo 8-track player in the dash. The trunk carries a steel wheel and matching Goodyear tire, as well as a complete jack assembly.
Like many vehicles for sale at RK, investment-grade HEMIs don't get more blue-chip than this.
