1971 Chevrolet Nova
“Nova fits neatly into garages. It's not too big… Nova fits into highway driving. It's not too small.”
-1971 Nova sales brochure
The 1971 Chevrolet Nova was originally designed to fill the needs of many types of buyers. This 1971 Nova was built to hit the buyer looking for raw horsepower.
Before being transformed this Nova was a factory V-8 car, today this Nova is powered by a 427 cubic inch motor mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The motor has features as Holley double pumper carburetor, Weiand high rise aluminum intake, polished valve covers, Accel HEI coil and headers. Shifting is provided by a Hurst four speed mated to a 12-bolt rear end.
The fiberglass Cowl Induction hood gives the car an aggressive look with the Graphite Metallic paint and black stripes. The paint presents very well with good depth and shine.
The black interior features Cipher bucket seats with Simpson racing belts, Equus 3 pod gauge package and an Autogage tachometer with shift light.
Braking for this Nova is provided by Wilwood power front disc brakes with drum brakes in the rear. To keep this Nova on the road are Mickey Thompson tires on all four corners and supported by rear traction bars.
