1966 Dodge Charger
Why This Vehicle is Special
We have a first year restored 1966 Dodge Charger here at Skyway Classics that came with the 383 engine, verified by the G in the Vin Number, sweeping fastback lines, striking silver color, and a bright red interior, making this a terrific classic with a lot of performance.
This Charger when it was released launched the legend and was the first year for the now iconic name.
Mechanical
The engine bay is filled with the modified 383 cubic inch big block power that this Charger shows being built with from the factory. It has had a rebuild and still has the huge amount of horsepower with its performance four-barrel carb, performance exhaust headers, and more, but also has a few upgrades like the black and polished open element air cleaner, black Mopar Performance valve covers, MSD ignition, coil, and plug wires, fuel system upgrade, and the dual exhaust.
It's a well-done package that fires up easily and is shifted by the TorqueFlite H.D. automatic transmission with good driving features like aluminum high-capacity radiator, power brakes, power brakes, and air conditioning as well as and wide BF Goodrich T/A Radials on custom aftermarket mag wheels.
Interior
The interiors were made by Dodge designers to be something quite and they really pulled it off by having an individual bucket seat with a center console in-between.
Our bright red bucket seat interior is truly a showpiece as it has an impeccable set of folding bucket seats in the front with the matching door panels, dash, carpet, red floor mats, wood steering wheel, factory gauges and aftermarket gauges, and full length console in between.
Everything inside this cockpit exudes an upscale appearance including the texture of the upholstery, depth of the carpeting, and quality of the door panels come together as one of the best interiors ever made.
The absolutely huge trunk features the fold down rear seats and makes storing your luggage and golf clubs an easy job.
Exterior
Our Dodge is a first-year Charger that has been restored and repainted in silver and it really makes this fastback look classy with the styling that made Mopar some of the meanest cars around.
The stance is super with the wide front end, Charger badging and 383 emblems on the sides, wide chrome bumpers, trim, and that long sweeping fastback roof really make a statement.
Conclusion
The restored 1966 Dodge Charger we here at Skyway Classics, with the 383 engine, sweeping fastback roof, bright red interior is a car that you don't get many opportunities to buy and is a very rare and correct example of the iconic Dodge Charger muscle car.

Big block power with 565 cubic inches of displacement and lots of friends, this car is wild. Opening on the sight of six American muscle car masterpieces, 1320 seemingly has their work cut out for them in the information department. That's because the collection features such icons as a bright red Chevrolet Bel Air, a yellow Camaro, and what looks like a lifted Chevrolet K10. In fact, the owner seems to have a mighty strong affection for GM and Chevrolet automobiles. On top of all that, there i read more
